Pre Production 

1. This film is based on the James Bond books by Ian Fleming, but the idea for this film does not follow a story-line that has previously been written, so is an original idea. 

2. Sam Mendes was the director of this film.

3. Eon productions was the studio responsible for making the film.

4. Skyfall's budget was 150-200 million dollars. 

5. Daniel Craig, Javier Bardem, Judi Dench and Albert finney were some of the stars to sign up to be in the film.

6. Production began on the 7th of November, 2011. 

Production

7. Skyfall was filmed in China, Turkey, and the UK. 

8. It was filmed in 2D and included CGI.

9. Problems Skyfall faced were the production setbacks caused by MGM's financial troubles.

Post Production

10. The plot of the film relies heavily on special effects due to all of the scenes featuring explosions.

11. Special effects used include CGI, sound, soundtrack and music.

12. No 3D was added after filming as the film is in 2D.

13. No re shoots were required as the Cinematographer, Roger Deakins, is very exacting. 

Marketing

14. The film was marketed using bus posters, teaser trailers and trailers, website advertisements, early screenings and synergy marketing with Sony and Coke Zero. 

15. The premier for Skyfall was held in London on the 23rd of October. 

16. It made 1,108,561,013 in the box office.
